The real estate market in Dickson, TN has been active and highly competitive since the start of 2023, with a steady increase in home prices and limited inventory. It has been exciting to see both buyers and sellers taking advantage of these current market conditions.

In my homeownership education throughout the years, buying a house was not only a wise investment (potentially the wisest of all) but a cardinal marker of success and financial prudence. No matter the location or condition, it is better to own, and quickly, so the wisdom went. Though not yet able to actualize this goal myself, its imprint has remained strong.

Nashville has morphed into a destination city not only for tourists but also for scores of people looking to benefit from a creative and inclusive southern city that offers a very diverse economy and the added benefit of no state income tax. 

Spring is around the corner and the days will be getting longer. That means people are getting ready to move whether they know it or not. Most people tend to move due to family or job changes, health reasons, increases in rent, and/or other major life events. “Panic buyers” since the start of the pandemic have changing needs.

When you are getting ready to enter the market, there is so much to prepare for. Something that a buyer may not always realize is when it comes to finding a lender that suits your needs and goals, your best bet is to treat this process like a job interview.

Real estate is something that I have been passionate about for a long time. I entered the industry back in 1994 working in the office for a local real estate company and instantly fell in love which led me to get my license.

Interest Rates are the hot topic lately and being a part of this conversation is important.

Let’s not forget that we are incredibly spoiled by the rate drops the Fed made during the pandemic in order to help stimulate our economy. I personally think that too many people are still haunted by the 2008 housing crash. Stats say that more than 40% of people are worried about another crash on the horizon.
