Last month, thousands of residents were left without power, and communities suffered extensive damage after severe storms touched down across Tennessee, resulting in severe flooding and tornado damage in several counties.

Tragically, one of our neighbors in Maury County lost their life when a tornado ripped through eastern Columbia, leaving many properties severely damaged.

Greater Nashville Realtors is deeply saddened by the loss of life and the widespread destruction affecting our neighbors across the region and the globe. Our hearts go out to everyone impacted by this catastrophe.

The road to recovery will undoubtedly be long and difficult, but our Realtor community is committed to assisting all those affected. We stand ready to provide support and resources to help rebuild lives and communities.

To ensure that the real estate community can always say "yes" to a neighbor in need, the Realtors Relief Foundation was established over 20 years ago. This foundation provides housing-related assistance to disaster-impacted communities through the generosity of Realtors. NAR collaborates with state and local REALTOR® associations to cover all administrative costs, ensuring 100% of all funds collected are distributed directly to disaster relief causes.

Funds will be made available to the public to assist with disaster victims’ housing payments as relief and recovery efforts continue.

Those impacted by the storms in the following counties may apply for assistance through the REALTORS® Relief Foundation (RRF) once the application is open: Cheatham, Giles, Lincoln, Maury, Rutherford, Smith, Warren, and Wilson. REALTOR® membership is NOT required to apply.

If you or someone you know needs assistance, please reach out. Our partners at Tennessee Realtors are working diligently to get the RRF application ready and up on their website soon. For information on how to apply or to make a donation, please visit tnrealtors.com. Together, we can rebuild and recover.

The Realtor Relief Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that exists to provide financial housing assistance to the public after disasters. In its 23 years of existence, more than $43 million in aid has helped more than 23,000 families. RRF is supported generously by the Realtor® organization family. Local and state Realtor® associations partner with RRF as they mobilize the Realtors® in their locale to assist those in need. NAR covers all administrative costs allowing 100% of donations to be used for disaster relief.
