Greater Nashville REALTORS® endorse candidate for Davidson Register of Deeds

Past president, Exton receives endorsement from Greater Nashville REALTORS®
in Democratic primary for Davidson County Register of Deeds

Nashville, TN (April 16, 2018) – Greater Nashville REALTORS®, Middle Tennessee’s largest real estate trade association, has announced its endorsement of Richard Exton in the Democratic Primary for Davidson County Register of Deeds. 

Exton has decades of experience in real estate and civic leadership. He is a past president of Greater Nashville REALTORS® and was awarded the association’s President’s Award in 2002. Exton is currently a member of the Rotary Club of Nashville Board of Directors.

“Richard has been a member of Greater Nashville REALTORS® for over 30 years, including serving as our board President in 2005,” said Sher Powers, president of Greater Nashville REALTORS®. “He understands the real estate industry, the challenges the Register of Deeds office has to face and is engaged and well-prepared to lead in this position.”

Exton has been an owner of Manier and Exton since January of 1994 and is retained by a variety of institutional, governmental, and private clients for the purposes of providing real estate appraisal services for a diversity of property types. He has lived in Nashville since his childhood when his parents moved to Davidson County in 1963. He and his wife, Maralie, have also called Nashville home since they married in 1986.  He is a graduate of Metro Nashville Public Schools and holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

The Democratic Primary for Davidson County Register of Deeds will take place May 1, and early voting is now underway through April 26. Early voting polling locations can be found at
