McKee Receives Realtor of the Year Honors

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Feb. 27, 2016) – The Greater Nashville Association of Realtors has named Michael McKee of Adex!Homesellers the 2015 Realtor of the Year,    according to GNAR President Denise Creswell.

The Realtor of the Year award is given annually to the GNAR Realtor member who has made the most significant contribution to their clients, the real estate profession  and the community. McKee was recognized for his association commitment and industry achievements at GNAR’s annual Awards of Excellence Gala held Saturday, Feb.  27, at the Omni Hotel in downtown Nashville by the 2014 recipient, Price Lechleiter.

“Mike’s continued and unyielding support of GNAR and our initiatives made him the overwhelming choice for this honor,” said GNAR President Denise Creswell. “He has  long been one of our most engaged volunteers, quick to say yes and ready to take on any role. In an industry where personal promotion is high and necessary, he prefers to  do all of this without recognition or spotlight.”
McKee has nearly 40 years of experience in the real estate business, 34 of those years as the broker and co-owner of his firm. He has been involved at GNAR for over 20 years, including serving on multiple committees, as well as the board of directors. He is a graduate of the Leadership GNAR program and Awards of Excellence recipient since 2005.

McKee is esteemed within the real estate industry and among his peers. He is well-known for his commitment to professionalism and for being an advocate of professional standards and the REALTOR® Code of Ethics.

He is equally regarded within the community where he extends his service to a multitude of organizations and charities. McKee has a long-standing relationship with Alive Hospice, both as a volunteer and as a board member. He has also served on the Historic Nashville, East Area Business Council, Berry Hill Merchants Association and University Community Health Services boards.

McKee is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and is a graduate of Youngstown State University. He has been a Nashville resident since 1976. The oldest of five brothers, Mike stays close with family, including his mother, Louise, who lives in Franklin. When not assisting clients or volunteering his time, he enjoys vacationing at the beach and reading.
