Become a Member

There are two types of REALTOR® memberships at Greater Nashville REALTORS®, Primary and Secondary membership. To obtain secondary membership, you must have an active primary membership with another Association. 

In order to become a REALTOR® with Greater Nashville REALTORS®, there are a few steps you must take.

To apply for REALTOR® membership, please complete and submit the application through the button below.

To complete the application process, you will provide full payment of $665.75.  Understand, that this payment includes pro-rated 2025 annual dues of $465.75 and a one-time application fee of $200.00 (non-refundable). Dues pricing is subject to change once the application is received and reviewed by staff member. 

After the application is processed, REALTOR® members will need to complete New Member requirements within 90 Days of joining Greater Nashville REALTORS®. These requirements include New Member Orientation, Fair Housing, and the Code of Ethics. Failure to meet these requirements may result in your membership being terminated.

Applying for Membership:

I am newly licensed and I have never held REALTOR® membership

• Your real estate license must be active
• Your real estate license must be placed with an office whose principal broker is a member of Greater Nashville REALTORS®
• First step is to Create an account
• Fill out the new REALTOR®- Transferring or Joining First Association application (not affiliate)
• You will pay a one-time $200 non-refundable application fee along with $465.75 annual dues that includes payment to the National Association of REALTORS®, Tennessee REALTORS® and Greater Nashville REALTORS®
• You must save a credit card to your profile in order for your application to be submitted for review
• Once you are a member with us you will have 90 days to complete your new member requirements

I am an active REALTOR® member of another association and I want to transfer my primary membership to Greater Nashville REALTORS®

• Your real estate license is active
• Your real estate license must be placed with an office whose principal broker is a member of Greater Nashville REALTORS®
• We will need a letter of good standing from your current association. This can be emailed to membership@greaternashvillerealtors.org subject line: New Member Letter of Good Standing
• Login or create an account with Greater Nashville REALTORS®
• Fill out the new REALTOR®- Transferring or Joining First Association application (not affiliate)
• You will not be required to pay an application fee
• If you have paid current year’s dues with your current association, the dues paid to the National Association of REALTORS® and Tennessee REALTORS® will transfer with you.
• You will be responsible for paying local Greater Nashville REALTORS® dues
• If you are transferring from out of state, National Association of REALTORS® dues will transfer with you and will pay Tennessee REALTORS® dues and local Greater Nashville REALTORS® dues.
• You must save a credit card to your profile in order for your application to be submitted for review
• New member requirements could be waived if already completed with your current association

I am a REALTOR® member of another association and would like to join Greater Nashville REALTORS® as a secondary member

• Your real estate license is active
• We will need a letter of good standing from your current association. This can be emailed to membership@greaternashvillerealtors.org subject line: New Member Letter of Good Standing.
• Login or create an account with Greater Nashville REALTORS®
• Fill out new Secondary REALTOR® application
• You will pay a one-time $200 non-refundable application fee along with local dues to Greater Nashville REALTORS®
• You must save a credit card to your profile in order for your application to be submitted for review
• Secondary membership does not include membership to Tennessee REALTORS®

2025 New Member Training Requirements

Applicants to Greater Nashville REALTORS® must complete New Member Orientation, Code of Ethics, and Fair Housing within 90 days. If an applicant fails to complete the new member requirements within 90 days, the application becomes void, forfeiting both the application and the application fee. The applicant must then reapply for membership by paying an additional $200 non-refundable application fee. us

• December- We do not host a new member orientation in December and this month does not count as part of your 90 days.

• Complete NAR’s Fairhaven: An Online Fair Housing Simulation (Free/No CE)
