Code of Ethics Requirements

Association bylaws require all REALTORS® to complete a Code of Ethics (COE) course within NAR’s mandated three-year cycle. NAR's current Code of Ethics cycle began January 1, 2022 and ends on December 31, 2024. Members who do not complete a Code of Ethics class by December 31, 2024 will be suspended from membership and lose their rights and privileges associated with their membership.

Register for a Code of Ethics Course 

To fulfill your Code of Ethics requirement, register for a class with Greater Nashville REALTORS® or take an online course with the National Association of REALTORS®. You will earn three hours of continuing education credit by taking your Code of Ethics class with Greater Nashville REALTORS®. NAR's free, online Code of Ethics class does not carry any continuing education credit. 
 

Check Your Code of Ethics Status

You may check your Code of Ethics status by logging into the member portal. Upon logging into the member portal, you will see Code of Ethics information listed under your name. This information includes: When the current Code of Ethics cycle ends, when you last completed a Code of Ethics class, and if you've completed a Code of Ethics class within the current cycle. The current Code of Ethics cycle began January 1, 2022 and ends on December 31, 2024.

If you would like to complete a Code of Ethics class with a course provider other than Greater Nashville REALTORS® or the National Association of REALTORS®, please email the Membership department at membership@greaternashvillerealtors.org beforehand so that we can ensure that the class meets NAR's standards.
