Staff Liaison: Angela Lewie
Purpose: To provide better communication with our members. You will help us connect with members on a personal and face-to-face level. We provide the details for you to share Association activities on a regular basis at your firm’s agent meetings or any other way you see fit.
Meeting Schedule: Quarterly, on the first Thursday, beginning in January. The first meeting will be held in-person at Greater Nashville REALTORS®. All other meetings will be virtual.
Member expectations:
Committee Service Term: One year. (January-December).
Accomplishments: 70 firms have Ambassadors, more than triple in previous years.
Testimonial: I believe local associations play an integral role in supporting, educating, and connecting real estate agents across brokerages. As a newer Association member, I wanted to learn more about the association and start getting involved, and serving as an Ambassador has accomplished that. Purpose: To encourage eligible members to participate, recognize and award members who have qualified under the Awards of Excellence rules, and help organize and facilitate the annual celebration of award winners and the real estate industry.
Meeting Schedule: First Friday of the month, 11:00 a.m., July – March, In-person
Member expectations: Attend meetings and give input when appropriate. Committee members who attend at least 50 percent of the meetings receive 8 Awards of Excellence Involvement credits.
Committee Service Term: One year (July-June)
Sample goal: Plan meetings with broker offices regarding awards and how to apply.
Accomplishments: Successfully launched Awards Application two weeks earlier than previous years. Held first in-person event in two years. Our 2021 Awards of Excellence program was recognized by Tennessee Society of Association Executives Special Event Awards and earned two Communicator Distinction Awards by the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts.

2025 Chair: Elizabeth Gatlin
Purpose:
To serve as a supplement to the services of the Greater Nashville REALTORS® in upgrading professional business practices and standards in commercial and investment real estate brokerage through ongoing education and communication.
2025 Objectives: Determine the most effective manner of engaging commercial agents and discuss the need for and role of this committee in their engagement.
Meeting Schedule: Quarterly Meetings & Three Commercial Forums
Member expectations: Attend meetings and give input when appropriate. Committee members will receive 1 Awards of Excellence Involvement credit for each meeting or forum that they attend.
Sample goal: Discover new continuing education opportunities for the Association to offer about Commercial Real Estate

Purpose: To help facilitate the association in serving the community in which we conduct business. It is within our Strategic Plan for us to work with Habitat for Humanity as we share a common commitment to home ownership and community care and service. Consequently, Habitat for Humanity is the lead charity supported by the association and it is our desire to help build a home through this organization on an annual basis.
Meeting Schedule: Second Thursday of the month at 10:00 a.m., or as needed, via Zoom
Member expectations: Attend meetings and provide support. Participate in the Habitat build as volunteer slots are available. Committee members who attend at least 50 percent of the meetings receive 8 Awards of Excellence Involvement Credits.
Sample goals: Inform members of the 2025 home builds and their opportunity to participate in it in terms of both funding and volunteering to help build it. Work with association staff to generate media attention for the project and promote the association’s concern for community service and involvement; help staff plan the annual golf event and mum sale.
Accomplishment: The 28th home was dedicated on November 3, 2024.

Purpose: To help facilitate the associations overall strategic plan in servicing our Dickson Chapter and Habitat for Humanity as we share a commitment to homeownership and community care.
Member Expectation: Attend meetings and provide support to our Dickson Habitat build. Committee members who attend at least 50 percent of the meetings receive Eight Awards of Excellence Involvement Credits.

2025 Chair: Shawanda Dotson-Crawford
Purpose:
Meeting Schedule: Four total meetings per year, held quarterly; consisting of 2 forum-style meetings with guest speakers, 1 field trip in conjunction with a local housing partner group and 1 volunteer opportunity
Member expectations: Attend meetings and bring and discuss opportunities to advance Greater Nashville REALTORS® strategic plan in regards to housing opportunities and affordability. Committee members will receive 1 Awards of Excellence Involvement credit for each meeting, forum or event that they attend.
Sample goals: Collaborate with the Professional Development Committee to educate members on important entry market programs (first time homebuyer programs, etc.); collaborate with the Government Affairs & Policy Committee on affordable housing policy concerns
Accomplishments: Partnered with Dream Streets who has launched their Housing Grant Pilot Program to support housing burdened families with supplemental rental assistance and financial literacy skills to move these families towards greater financial stability and home ownership. Members of this committee participated in this program as mentors. This committee has utilized NAR Placemaking Grants in past years to improve various public areas around Nashville.

Member expectations: Committee members are expected to attend all meetings with a maximum of three allowed absences per year, and those absences require prior notice to the current chair and/or staff liaison. Also, attendance for the quarterly Legislative and Local Government Forum is strongly encouraged.
Sample goals:
Accomplishments: 2022 Committee Chair George Rowe and the 2021 Committee Chair John Dotson both participated in a Metro Government Short-Term Rental task force; annually participates in the Tennessee REALTORS® Day on the Hill event.

Purpose:
Appointment: Current year’s Dickson County Chapter President will approve and appoint 5 total members to this committee, including the Chair.

Purpose: To oversee the application of the current membership policy, consider any appropriate updates or changes to the membership policy, review member appeals related to membership, and communicate the value of membership with Greater Nashville REALTORS® through marketing and communication efforts.
Meeting Schedule:First Wednesday of the month at 9:00 a.m. Meetings in January, February and March will be held in-person at Greater Nashville REALTORS. All other meetings will be via Zoom, unless there are appeals, in which case the committee meets in person at the Association.
Member expectations: Attend meetings and learn the Membership Policy and apply it equally and fairly when necessary.
Sample goals: Welcome and connect with new members with follow-up phone calls and emails made by committee members to new applicants after approval by board of directors; greeting new members at in person New Member Orientation.
Accomplishments: We are at our highest membership total in the history of the Association; as of June, the Membership committee called all 622 new members to personally welcome them to the Association

Purpose: Serve in a consultative and advisory capacity to the Greater Nashville REALTORS® Board of Directors with respect to promoting an orderly marketplace, technology that benefits and empowers REALTORS® and their clients, and the development of strategies that leverage listing data in new and innovative ways.
Meeting Schedule: Bi-monthly, or as needed
Member expectations: Attend all meetings, give input, think and discuss issues and improvements through the eyes of all Realtracs MLS users. Committee members who attend at least 50 percent of the meetings receive 8 Awards of Excellence Involvement credits.
Strategic Objectives:
Committee Structure: 12 members total.
- Six “Elected Members” (elected by the existing committee) will consist of at least three small companies (up to 49 agents) and three large companies (50+ agents).
- Six “Appointed Members” (appointed by the chair) will consist of six Greater Nashville REALTORS® members and there are no requirements of small and large company makeup.

Sample goal: Review and approve potential instructors; plan and implement Real Time Topics; and audit/evaluate current instructors.
Accomplishments: Successfully implemented an instructor review and approval process; strategically modified course offerings based on recent NAR settlement information.

Purpose: To foster ownership of the relationship with public schools on behalf of association members, building more awareness and involvement over the course of the year. To oversee and manage Greater Nashville REALTORS’® partnership relationship with our partners: Maplewood High School, H.G. Hill Middle School and Robert Churchwell Museum Magnet Elementary School.
Meeting Schedule: Second Thursday of the month, at 12:00 p.m., In-person
Member expectations: Attend meetings and provide input to foster a positive relationship with our partner schools. Participate in on-site activities at H.G. Hill Middle School and Robert Churchwell Museum Magnet Elementary School. Committee members who attend at least 50 percent of the meetings receive 8 Awards of Excellence Involvement credits.
Committee Service Term: One year (January – December)
Sample goal: Back to school breakfast for teachers; grounds upkeep; touring other schools in MNPS.
Accomplishments: Raised $6,300 in supplies and $2,100 to fund end of the year activities like movie day; gave teachers $1,600 in Amazon gift cards; purchased trophies for the football team which won the Metro League Championship.

Purpose: To foster a meaningful relationship on behalf of our Dickson Chapter within Oakmont Elementary School. Members will build awareness and create involvement over the course of the year servicing the needs of our future generations.
Member Expectations: Attend meetings and provide input to foster a positive relationship with our school partner. Participate in on-site activities at Oakmont Elementary School. Members who attend at least fifty percent of the meetings will earn Eight Awards of Excellence Involvement Credits.

2024 Chairs: John Brittle and Deanne Nelson
Purpose: Fundraising of RPAC dollars for political advocacy efforts. RPAC funds are critical for supporting issues and candidates who are in favor of REALTOR® issues. The Committee coordinates with local, state and national efforts to utilize RPAC funds.
Meeting Schedule: Monthly, generally the first week of the month, in person
Member expectations: Attend meetings and focus on soliciting contributions for RPAC. Committee members who attend at least 50 percent of the meetings receive 8 Awards of Excellence Involvement credits.
Sample goals: Educate ALL REALTORS® on the importance of being a member of the REALTOR® Party (VOTE, ACT, INVEST); plan and implement RPAC fundraising initiatives (house parties, Major Investor Events, etc.); raise Greater Nashville REALTORS® RPAC dollar goal established by Tennessee REALTORS®
Accomplishments: Surpassed the state’s member participation goal for this year by more than 20%; approximately 55 percent of our membership has invested in RPAC; 80 members have made at least their initial contribution of $1,000 or more to be a 2023 Major Investor; RPAC Committee has raised $147,000 in 2023 of our state goal of $251,222.

I believe that advocacy is one the most important functions of our associations.
