Over the past few weeks, we've seen the devastating effects of hurricanes and tornadoes across several states, including Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas, Virginia, and even right here in Tennessee. Many communities are now faced with the daunting task of rebuilding after homes were destroyed, neighborhoods were flooded, families were displaced and lives were lost.
Here in Tennessee, the impact of Hurricane Helene has been felt most acutely in East Tennessee, where remnants of the storm caused flash flooding and severe damage to homes. Many families are left grappling with the uncertainty of what comes next.
While the road to recovery is long, we can all help make a difference. Sometimes, even the smallest acts of kindness or donations can have a huge impact on those who need it most.
Greater Nashville REALTORS® is proud to be a small part of the relief operations. In response to the devastation from Hurricane Helene, we’ve committed an additional $10,000 to the REALTORS® Relief Foundation, specifically to aid in Helene recovery efforts. This is in addition to the $5,000 we allocate annually as part of our budget. It’s just one way we’re showing our commitment to helping families and communities get back on their feet.
The REALTORS® Relief Foundation has a long history of stepping up during times of crisis, offering critical housing assistance to disaster victims. Whether it's helping families repair or rebuild their homes or providing temporary housing for those displaced, the foundation plays a crucial role in disaster recovery efforts. Since its inception, it has provided millions of dollars in support to those in need.
Nationwide, the National Association of REALTORS® has raised more than $550,000 for Hurricane Helene victims, showing the strength of our collective commitment to helping rebuild communities. These funds are being put to immediate use, providing direct housing assistance to those who need it most.

Every dollar raised goes directly toward helping victims of Hurricane Helene and other disasters find shelter, security, and hope as they work to rebuild their lives.
